Great Work

I love finding inspirational quotes and I find so many that I can relate to most parts of my life. 

One that I have recently read is from the wonderful Steve Jobs:

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it."

I have been extremely lucky in my life that I have done work I love. Yes, I am a florist and have been for years and that is my main passion but I have also been lucky to experience other creative paths such as styling which has brought me to my latest project. I am privileged to be styling the stand for Welligogs at Chelsea Flower Show in a few weeks. It has been a busy few weeks but I am starting to get extremely excited as all the props are arriving and they look amazing! Keep posted for my full story and pictures once the event is in full swing.

I love learning new things and expanding my knowledge. I tend to have a go at most things and love a challenge. From June I will be running workshops and open evenings in my new workshop. I am hoping I can pass on some of my knowledge of floristry to others who want to learn. You don't have to be someone that wants to become a florist but perhaps you want to make your own seasonal garlands or just fancy learning a new skill!
